With 27 metres working height and 16 metres outreach, the ECOLINE 270 extends the ECOLINE range by 3 meters working height. With a vehicle length of only 7.53 m and a permissible inclination of the position of up to 5°, the ECOLINE 270 surpasses s its direct competition in the low budget segment in many respects.
The stable fine-grained steel construction incorporates a great deal of RUTHMANN know-how and components from proven ranges guaranteeing longevity and reliability.
ECOLINE 270 – the leap to the top
Until now, ECOLINE telescopic aerial platforms up to 23 meters and articulated telescopic aerial platforms up to 24 meters were available. With the new ECOLINE 270, RUTHMANN is now presenting another performant truck-mounted aerial platform with 4 metres more working height and compact dimensions on a 3.5 t chassis at the bauma 2022. With the ECOLINE 270, RUTHMANN is closing the gap to its direct competition and even surpassing it in many respects. With a permissible inclination of 5° and a large stabilisation stroke, the ECOLINE is particularly tolerant when positioning and also offers the use on slopes. With a length of only 7.53 m , the ECOLINE 270 is more compact than its direct competition and has also been shortened by around 30 cm compared to the ECOLINE 230. For the user, it means increased manoeuvrability and less damage risk. The rear cross beam is foldable such as on the RUTHMANN TB range.
ECOLINE 270 – The perfect match
The ECOLINE 270 is based on proven and 1,000 times tested components from the ECOLINE and the RUTHMANN STEIGER® TB ranges. The boom system with the telescope itself comes from the successful STEIGER® TB 270+, the optimized base frame from the ECOLINE 230 and the foldable light carriers from the current TB 270 pro. By using components proven and optimised for many years, the ECOLINE 270 is extremely performant and can still be offered at an attractive price.
The proven control panel according to STEIGER® model which enjoys great popularity among users has been taken over unchanged from the ECOLINE 230. The working basket with a basket load of 230 kg is also still mounted on the ECOLINE 230.

Flexible possibilities of use thanks to proven stabilisation variants
Despite its favourable overall price, the ECOLINE 270 offers a great range of applications and may be of interest for a large number of industries and the rental business. The modern horizontal-vertical stabilisation makes it possible to position the ECOLINE 270 close to the object and thus to use optimally the available outreach. Stabilisation on two sides, on one side or within vehicle profile is possible and enables also the utilisation in confined spaces. The automatic function, available on demand, helps to bring the ECOLINE 270 quickly into operating position.
Thanks to its stable construction, the ECOLINE 270 can also be used with a maximum inclination of the aerial platform of 5°, that is 4° more than the direct competition provides.
Also new on the ECOLINE 270 is the stabilisation stroke increased by 50 mm compared to the ECOLINE 230. This enables to work on slopes where the ECOLINE 270 can also be used safely with the aid of the wedge-shaped RUTHMANN supporting plates.
