The manufacturer of aerial working platforms RUTHMANN from the Germany’s Münsterland region invites once again this year to the bauma and presents traditionally its innovations in the south outdoor area on the stand FS 1006/4. The world’s leading trading show for construction machinery will open its doors from the 8th to the 14th of April 2019 in Munich.
„orange is the new green“
According to the motto „orange is the new green“, RUTHMANN showcases, apart from the proven BLUELIFT spider platforms with BLUE Lithium drive technology and the aerial working platform „low budget“ ECOLINE 180 Hybrid having performed its first big show at the Platformers‘ Days in Hohenroda, not one but two innovations with alternative (emission-free) types of drive.
The STEIGER® TB 270 Hybrid will be on show live for the first time at the bauma. With the most modern hybrid drive technology, environmentally conscious customers are able to carry out works emission-free. Also operating times can considerably be extended and are more flexible in terms of time. Thanks to the new hybrid Steiger, it does not matter in downtowns, pedestrian zones or residential areas if the works take place early in the morning or in the evening without disturbing the pedestrians or the residents.
The RUTHMANN STEIGER® Ampero TBR 250 E will celebrate its real first world premiere. The complete electric working platform on carrier-chassis offers a unique concept of the electric drive: The traction battery of the Sprinter is simultaneously used for Steiger operation. Therefore it requires only one charging device for the complete machine. The Mercedes Sprinter will be converted to electric drive by the company ORTEN Electric-Trucks in cooperation with its partner EFA-S.
Thanks to the new E-STEIGER®, bans on diesel vehicles are no longer an obstacle. The battery capacity lasts for a complete working day with for example 100 kilometres in urban traffic and a continuous operation of the STEIGER® of 4 hours. The charging time by means of a 380 V charging station with 22KW amounts to maximum 4 hours depending on the size of the battery. Even common 230 V sockets can also be employed for charging. The AMPERO TBR 250 E can then be charged on working site by the customer.
DRS – Dynamic Reach System
For all people working at high altitudes, RUTHMANN has two good reasons for visiting the trade show: The SKYperformance STEIGER® T 900 HF will be shown at the bauma. So everyone having wasted the opportunity to see the machine last year on the INTERMAT in Paris or during the Platformers‘ Days in Hohenroda will have another chance to see in action the most flexible 90 m truck-mounted large-scale working platform in the world. The T 900 HF was the first machine equipped with the patented DRS (Dynamic Reach System).
At the bauma, RUTHMANN will present for the first time another machine of the Highflex segment with DRS: The HEIGHTperformance STEIGER® T 750 HF will be equipped with the patented system further optimizing the STEIGER® performance through real-time, on board calculations. For the T 750 HF, it means for example 4 meters more in outreach at great heights, but that’s not all. The DRS enables the preselection of the support load so that it becomes possible to drive over working sites which were not accessible before, such as for example bridges, car parks. A further option consists in the preselection of the basket payload before starting to work so that for example more weight can be born at maximal outreach. For all people working at high altitudes, the preset of the wind speed would surely be interesting. This enables works in heavy winds of up to 8 Bft. More working days can therefore be used in the year, for example in wind farms.
RUTHMANN SERVICE at its best
For such great machines, a great service may of course not be missing. RUTHMANN is well-known for this on the market. At the bauma, RUTHMANNSERVICE will present, apart from its inspection and maintenance offers, different retrofitting options.
The DRS can be retrofitted on the existing Highflex machines from the house of Ruthmann thus providing existing customers with an absolute surplus value in terms of outreach and flexible use of the machines.

Anyone familiar with RUTHMANN knows that the manufacturer from Germany’s Münsterland region uses the bauma in order to present exclusively its innovations.
