On September 21st ,2017 – after just 7 months of construction – RUTHMANN opened its brand-new Bavarian service center. The previous location in Ingolstadt could no longer meet the ever-growing customer requirements. RUTHMANN invested 2.4 million euros in the new service center in Geisenfeld-Ilmendorf –  located just 15 km from the previous location. Further expansion is being planned.

As part of the RUTHMANNSERVICE expansion initiative, another important milestone has been reached. Michael Zabel (Service Center Manager) and his dedicated 11- member team has now officially moved into the new Bavarian service center. The service facility is in a large industrial park in Geisenfeld (Ilmendorf district). Well-known  companies, including Kaufland and Aldi, have their distribution centers in the same industrial park.

With its 9 company-owned service centers and 12 service points (mobile workshops) in Germany, Austria, France, and Italy, RUTHMANN has one of the most efficient and reliable service networks in the entire work platform industry. Including the service hotline, parts supply, and centralized administrative staff, more than 100 highly-skilled employees now look after the care, maintenance, inspection, and repair of every type of work platform imaginable. Decades of experience and technical know-how have made RUTHMANN the one-stop service professional!

RUTHMANN initiated its multi-million-euro investment program in after-sales service at the end of 2014. Customer demand continues to rise due to the substantial increase in sales over the past several years and because of the increase in RUTHMANN’s “multi-brand service”. This refers to maintenance and repair work being carried out on machinery made by other manufacturers.

Since RUTHMANN was not able to expand at its previous location in Ingolstadt, the company decided to build an entirely new service facility. Located just 15 km from Ingolstadt – on Germanenstraße in Geisenfeld-Ilmendorf –  the ultra-modern service center has 13 service bays and a large wash bay.

Since RUTHMANNSERVICE endeavors to remain the market-leading, reliable partner that customers can depend on, Managing Director – Rolf Kulawik – has already announced further expansion plans. In November 2017, an additional service center in Merklingen (Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg) will be put into operation. Here, RUTHMANN is taking over a former competitor’s location and ensures that customers in this region continue to have access to first-class service.

In Borkheide (near Berlin), the property across the road from the existing site was recently acquired in order to expand service capacity at that location. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2018. This ensures that SERVICE quality and quantity can meet the ever-growing market demand.
